Experience - Students
develop an effective leadership style by assuming leadership
roles in organizations, attending leadership development
activities, mentoring and developing others in professional
settings, and reflecting on leadership experience in the
company of experienced leaders.
Professional Development -
Students gain insights and
strengthen professional competence by engaging in
experiential learning through internships, practica, job
shadowing, and summer jobs and by participating in life
skills and professional development workshops and events.
Campus and Community Engagement -
Becoming an effective member of a larger community involves
collaborating with others to meet common needs at multiple
levels. Students learn and demonstrate competence by joining
campus or community organizations, participating on athletic
teams, and volunteering to serve local, national and world
communities.
Collaborative Research -
Students find answers, advance
current knowledge and improve existing practices by
assisting in academic research and employing various data
collection and evaluation techniques.
